  • always wear the correct school uniform
  • always be polite
  • talk sensibly to each other at an appropriate volume
  • be helpful to visitors and other users of the school site.

7. MOBILE PHONES

As a school, we strongly recommend that children in Y3 and Y4 are collected from school by a responsible adult.  As this is the case, we see no reason for a child in either year group to bring a mobile phone to school.  We recognise that children in Y5 and Y6 may be given the responsibility of going home alone.  We appreciate therefore that parents and child may be reassured by the presence of a mobile phone.  In this case, children may bring a mobile phone with them onto the school site.

However, given access to landlines, there is no need at all for children to have their mobile phones either to hand or switched on whilst on site.  They should be kept switched off and out of sight at all times.  Should a child be found with a mobile phone in hand, for whatever reason, including photography or any other application, the phone will be confiscated and parents asked to come in and collect it from either the Head or the Deputy Head Teacher.

Mobile phones are not allowed on residential trips at all.

Please note that the school can accept no responsibility for the safety of personal property and children bring such items at their own risk.
